From committed to closed, without the paper chase.

Helm moves investors from diligence into subscription and closing in one continuous workflow, at their own pace. Documents prepopulated, checks running in parallel, nothing re-entered and nothing re-requested.

Onboarding shouldn't start with a blank document.

You already know your investors. Show them you do. Your onboarding should be an extension of your team's service: use what you already have, ask only for what you don't, and make it easy to subscribe so the relationship starts on a strong foot.

Three overlapping digital form cards labeled Investor onboarding, Subscription pack, and Identity verification with faint placeholder text fields for legal entity name, tax ID, subscriber name, investor name, and federal tax identification number.

Suitability checked up front

Use the information you already have and dynamic onboarding to match each investor with the products they're suited for, from day one.

Three email message snippets showing file attachments and status notes: 1) 'Sub pack — Thornfield FO' with file 'subpack_v2.pdf' and note 'No reply · 6d'; 2) 'Re: Sub pack' with file 'subpack_v2_signed.pdf' and note 'Page 4 missing'; 3) 'Re: Re: Sub pack' with file 'subpack_FINAL_v3.pdf' and note 'Wrong version'.

Straight to signature

Helm's intelligent tools prefill subscription documents from what you already know: suitability answers, past investments, and your CRM. All the investor has to do is sign."

Status checklist showing 'Docs signed,' 'Funds received,' and 'Allocation confirmed' marked complete with green check marks; 'KYC verification' is pending; 'AML screening' not started; and 'Close' is blocked.

KYC and AML in parallel

Satisfy KYC and AML while the investor is engaged, in the same step as onboarding. No waiting on subscription document review, and no going back to the investor weeks later."

Straight-through, from decision to close.

Pre-populated everywhere

Subscription documents draw on what the platform already knows from diligence. New investors sign paperwork that is already filled in; repeat investors have nothing to redo.

Subscription workflow interface for Kestrel Institutional marked complete, showing five steps: Investor onboarding, Identity verification, AML screening, Subscription documents, and Close, all with check marks. A panel lists jurisdictions screened in parallel: United States, United Kingdom, Luxembourg, and Cayman Islands, each marked cleared with a green check.

KYC and AML inside the workflow

Identity, verification, and screening run in-flow, across jurisdictions - not as a separate process the close waits on.

User interface showing a welcome message to Kestrel Institutional and confirmation that documents are ready. Listed files include subscription-pack.pdf, side-letter.pdf, and wire-instructions.pdf with a blue button labeled Review and sign. To the right, a Tasks panel shows pack prepared, details prefilled, and checks run, each with a green checkmark, and a summary panel displays 124 clients and a 71% repeat rate.

White-glove, without the headcount

To the investor it feels like concierge service from your IR team. In reality the platform is doing the work - faster and more accurately than manual handling, with no added staff.

A progress flow chart with four checked steps labeled Diligence, Subscription, Checks, and Close. Below is an audit trail listing timestamps and events: Close recorded and funds settled at 14:22:07, Screening cleared for four jurisdictions at 14:19:44, Approved by Sarah Whitfield at 14:02:18, and Documents countersigned at 13:55:02. A separate approval box shows Sarah Whitfield's name with an 'APPROVED' status and timestamp 14:02:18.

One continuous workflow

Diligence, subscription, checks, close - one sequence, one audit trail, with approvals where you want them.

The record created here serves the whole investment.

Onboarding produces more than a closed subscription - it creates the digital record of the investor and their position that powers reporting and servicing for the life of the fund, and that can be delivered to fund administrators and transfer agents in the format they need.

FAQ

Is this just a data room with a login?

No. A data room stores documents. The portal is a live experience - positions, notices, documents, e-sign, reporting - connected to everything that happened before it on the same platform.

What reporting does it cover?

Quarterly reporting, capital call notices, and distribution notices, generated from the same investor and position records the rest of the platform runs on.

Can it show data from systems outside Helm?

Yes. The platform ingests third-party data in any format, normalises it, and surfaces it inside the same investor experience.

Can we integrate it with our stack?

Yes - a comprehensive REST API across every platform object, webhooks for events, warehouse exports, CRM sync, and SFTP delivery.
